The Effect of Boron Stress on Germination Properties of Pepper, Eggplant and Watermelon Seeds Subjected to Salicylic Acid Pre-application

Boron toxicity constitutes a limiting factor on seed germination. Salicylic acid-like plant growth regulators play an important role in alleviation the negative effects of boron stress. The research was carried out to determine germination properties seeds (pepper, eggplant, watermelon) with and without salicylic acid (SA) pre-application at different (B) concentrations. Experiments were conducted randomized plots design 4 replications. Seed percentage, mean time, index energy values determined under four SA (0, 0.5, 1.0 2.0 mM) six B 1.0, 2.0, 4.0, 8.0 16.0 mg L-1) doses. greatest shortest time obtained from L-1 dose, other hand, increasing stress negatively influenced parameters.
